Recent Projects · Stereo 3D Video Monitor - Created prototype of monitor for client, including optical and mechanical design, mechanical drawings, selection and procurement of off-the-shelf and custom fabricated parts, assembly and alignment. · Laser Spectral Narrowing Module - Designed and built breadboard module to narrow the spectrum of a DUV laser. Module incorporated a variable magnification zoom for testing in clients laser. · Liquid Metal Jet - Investigated concepts for steering a liquid metal jet using flexure elements and small actuators. Problems to overcome included range of motion vs. resolution, fatigue strengths of materials, spatial constraints and thermal management. · Custom Industrial Cameras - Designed optics and mechanics for high magnification imaging systems. · Laser Illuminator - Built small quantities of laser illuminators for large area, uniform illumination. Generated optical and mechanical design, incorporated systems into track lighting rails and stand alone systems. |
